The product deals with the trading of shares between the 2 main entities, namely Stock Borrowing Lending( SBL) Dealers and Retail Clients. When a Retail Client requires the shares for trading across the Stock Exchange, he borrows the shares from the SBL Dealers who in turn borrow from the Institutional Lenders depending upon their inventory.

Trading which is done across the Stock Exchange is captured from AS/400 systems through ODBC connectivity and the system validates the short sells and buys of traded shares against the actual borrow. The system generates Exception reports when the bought shares does not find a matching borrow from the SBL Dealers. The system takes into account the collateral to be pledged against both SBL Dealer and Retail Client borrows.

The system during the End of day Processing downloads the Trade data, Share information, margination of shares and applies it to the Share inventory of both the SBL Dealers and Retail Clients. The system generates several reports for Trading, Profit/ Loss accounting for Retail clients, Client Ledger, Client Transaction Ledger etc.,

The system works on a middle-tier architecture where the components are distributed across the Data Layer and Business Broker Layer.
